Following its debut last year, Nio has officially launched the Nio Phone 2, the second generation of its flagship smartphone. The new model continues the company’s tradition of seamless integration with its EVs, along with some impressive hardware specs.
NIO 2 Phone Specifications
The Nio Phone 2 features a large 6.82-inch QHD+ display with a maximum brightness of 2600 nits. The display is a custom-made quad-curved panel by Samsung that supports a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz and high-frequency dimming of 1440Hz for smoother visuals.
NIO Phone 2 Powered with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the Nio Phone 2 also features the “Gun Yu Cooling System” to manage heat during demanding tasks. Nio claims the phone maintains a surface temperature of 40°C while running “Honor of Kings” at 119 frames per second, and 47.6°C while playing “Honkai Impact 3” at 59.5 frames per second.
The camera system includes a 48 MP LYT-T808 (IMX888) main sensor, a 48 MP LYT-600 (IMX882) ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP IMX890 periscopic telephoto lens. The device is powered by a 5020mAh battery and supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
One of the most interesting features of the Nio Phone 2 is its software. It runs a custom version of Android that Nio says has “0 system ads and 0 commercial apps pre-installed.”

Additionally, the Nio Phone 2 features “NOMI GPT,” a set of AI features built around multi-modal perception, cognitive center, emotion engine, and multi-expert agent developed by Nio. This includes a large model encyclopedia, AI-powered chat experiences, and car-related features such as Q&A and scene generation.
The most intriguing new software feature, however, is the “NIO Link Car Broadcast” feature. It allows users to directly access their car’s camera system to conduct live broadcasts, or even show their driving perspective during WeChat video calls, although the latter requires operation from the passenger seat.

Price and availability
The Nio Phone 2 is available in three configurations: the base model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 6,499 yuan (approximately $896), the mid-range option with 12GB RAM and 1TB storage It costs 6,899 yuan ($951), and the high-end “EP Edition” option with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is priced at 7,499 yuan ($1,034).
Nio is also offering a 500 yuan coupon for the purchase of the new model for first-generation Nio Phone users. Pre-orders are already open, and official sales will begin in China on August 10.
